Meet "Old Town"!
Meet "Old Town"! This handsome kitty is up for adoption at our facility. One of our coworkers found him wandering the streets of Old Town, Alexandria looking for warmth. At the time he was intact, and had no collar or microchip, and no one came forth to claim this sweet boy. He has been with us for a couple of months and he is now neutered, vaccinated and tested for FELV/FIV and heartworms which were all negative! We think he is about 9 months-1 year old. He is very sweet, but we recommend he go to a home with older children (12 +) as he can play pretty rough and is particular about how much attention he wants and will let you know when he's done. He does well with our two hospital cats, Rigby and Rowdy, but we are not sure how he is around dogs. If you are interested in adopting Old Town, ask one of our staff members and we would be more than happy to set up a meet and greet!
Coming Soon - Sally!
Sally is a 6 year old, domestic shorthair, spayed female tabby. She was previously an indoor/outdoor kitty, but unfortunately, she somehow broke her leg and required extensive surgery in order to repair it. She has been in our care and is currently undergoing post-surgical care. She requires another surgery and will be available for adoption once she is fully healed.
Sally is very sweet and will require a home where she is indoor-only due to her previous injury. If you'd like to make a donation to the Leroy/Sally Fund in order to help assist with the cost of her care, you may send a check or donate cash in person.

I have been using Ft. Hunt Animal Hospital for about 30 years and have always found the doctors and staff to be very caring. I appreciate the time spent explaining specific findings and answering questions. I never feel rushed.
