The Fort Hunt Animal Hospital features a full in-house diagnostic laboratory that allows our team to run various tests within minutes as opposed to days required for secondary location testing.
This allows our experienced doctors and technicians to determine your pets' ailment and formulate a treatment plan quickly. We also utilize several outside labs for more specific testing when necessary.
• Serum chemistry
• Complete blood count
• Heartworm and tick-borne disease screening
• FeLV/FIV screening
Fort Hunt Animal Hospital utilizes radiology and sonography services that assist our veterinarians diagnosing your pet's health concerns. Whatever your pet's needs are, we will accommodate them.
Radiographs, commonly known as x-rays, help our doctors diagnose abnormalities in skeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems.
Sonography uses an ultrasound machine, which is non-invasive and painless, and this method of diagnosis allows us to first address your pet's health concerns without the need for surgery.
If test results indicate that surgery is the best course of action to help your pet, you can ensure they receive top-of-the-line quality care from the experienced Fort Hunt Animal Hospital team.
I have been using Ft. Hunt Animal Hospital for about 30 years and have always found the doctors and staff to be very caring. I appreciate the time spent explaining specific findings and answering questions. I never feel rushed.
